There are too many different tours to list here, but here are a few examples. A 10-day mid-range private tour of the historical circuit starts at around US$3,500 per person. To visit the Danakil Depression as part of an 11-day tour costs around US$5,000 per person.
The Best Time Of Year To Go To Ethiopia is between October and March. During these months, there is less rainfall and the heat is less intense in the extreme north and south. However, Ethiopia’s size means there are plenty of fantastic experiences available from June to September.
Trousers are also fine (though few local women wear them except in Addis Ababa) but shorts or sleeveless tops are not really acceptable, especially in Islamic areas and rural settings. Men should generally wear long trousers and a shirt or T-shirt covering the shoulders.
